These cementing plugs for oil wells offer constant water resistance and resist very heavy stresses, aggressive muds, strong pressure and high temperatures. Their study has taken almost a year and consequentially financial investment to design a complex part whose geometry has been optimised.
The achievement of this contact block has led to a technical achievement : moulding a formo-phenolic core weighing 13 kg ! This is one of the largest parts ever produced in this type of material. |
